Welcome to the Enterprise Fish Company
Sharing the same stretch of coastline with Southern California's prolific fishing ports, we pride ourselves on serving fresh fish in a classic setting.

Enterprise Laundry Settle in . . .
Built in 1917, the historic building now home to our Santa Monica restaurant was once a transfer station for the narrow-gauge Red Car line, Los Angeles's first mass transit system. It was later the repair house for the world-famous Pacific Ocean Park, home to the oldest wooden roller coaster west of the Mississippi. These days, we're still a stone's throw from Venice Beach, the heart of where L.A. goes to play -- and eat. Also just a few blocks from the waterfront, our sister restaurant in Santa Barbara operates in a century-old brick building originally home to an industrial linen service for seaside hotels. While the Douglas fir floors, soaring ceilings, and glassed cupola have always been features of the historic structure, the sweeping arches facing State Street were added after much of the building crumbled during the 1925 Santa Barbara Earthquake.

Get fresh . . .
To ensure freshness and quality, we have always maintained close, long-term relationships with a handful of fish purveyors, many of whom live in the neighborhood and operate right down the street. From the get-go, our key to freshness has been to purchase fish whole, packed in ice, and to portion and chill it in-house. We think it's the best around.

Feed the fire . . .
Surrounded by the nautical decor of a classic West Coast fish house, our restaurant's centerpiece is the display kitchen. Patrons can watch and smell their meals come to life, grilled to order over mesquite flame -- a culinary art form (and a healthy alternative) born generations ago in the Mexican coastal villages of Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán. But our seafood savvy doesn't stop there.

Taste the Bounty . . .
Over the years, we've followed our appetites to the far regions of the Pacific Ocean, returning with a taste of diverse seafood traditions. Our menu features a virtual breadbasket of seafood flavors and styles of preparation, encompassing Mexico and South America, Asia and Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, and, of course, California's own bounty, from San Francisco's Italian fisheries to the Channel Islands. Always fresh. Always delicious.
